The Best Halloween-Themed Rolling Cart Hack for Cystic Fibrosis!

spooky skeleton laughing with glowing candles

Are you tired of the same rolling cart day after day and looking to spruce it up? I have an exciting Halloween-themed rolling cart for storing cystic fibrosis medications and treatments for your c’fer warrior.

For those who are new to the cystic fibrosis community, a “c’fer” refers to a cystic fibrosis warrior, which can be a child or an adult with a medical condition.

Rolling carts are popular, and there are creative ways to use them. I heard about them on Pinterest and Cff.org😄 and was inspired to get one.

In the cystic fibrosis Community, rolling carts are popular for storing everyday medications, such as breathing treatments, enzymes, and other items needed to maintain good health.

Before I had a rolling cart, I used to have to get things from the pantry and kitchen cabinets.

I even tried having a clear shelf installed on the wall so I could put the medications in there.

But it was in the laundry room making the tedious journey back and forth everyday.

However, I started to get tired of running back and forth to the pantry closet or the kitchen! My mind had to find a solution!

Important: Ask your professional doctors and pharmacies about proper medication storage methods. Keeping medications in their containers ensures their proper functioning.

There are various medications taken to hlep Anthony maintain his health, weight, and cystic fibrosis.

Doctor’s Love Creative Problem Solving Done Right!

Anthony is ten years old and becoming very responsible. I am so proud of how he swallows his enzymes whole, thanks to a technique I used: giving him orange tic-tac’s to swallow when he was three.

The Doctor found this to be a genius idea! After all, creative problem solving is my middle name. 😉

My son Anthony does not swallow tic-tac’s today, but he does swallow his enzymes with no issues. It astounds people!

I showed Anthony the various rolling carts on Pinterest and the cff.org side, and he was very enthused and asked if he could please have one.

Little did I know how easy it would make our lives, and I wondered why I didn’t have this when he was younger. I wish I had known about this when he was a baby.

This cart is one of the best medical hacks!

Rolling Cart Research and Benefits

Research written on a typing keyboard

I began researching and found the beautiful teal blue rolling cart which now sits next to our library in the dining room near the dinner table.

This cart has many essential items that require children and people with cystic fibrosis to complete their daily routines.

Here’s a rolling cart from Pinterest that got our attention and motivated me to get a similar one, which Anthony helped me build.

The idea is simple, beautiful, and beneficial because it allows you to have everything you need in one place.

We also love teal blue because it looks inviting and reminds us of the ocean.

I found a great one on Amazon that was easy to assemble and offers enough space to fit everything he needs.

When we do his treatments, we swap rooms every other week, so he’s in a different place doing his vest treatments.

We place the vest machine on the bottom and the nebulizer machine in the middle rack and roll it to another room as easily as 1 2 3.

The Halloween-Themed Rolling Cart is Born!

I researched online and was surprised that no one had made a rolling cart like the one Anthony and I made for Halloween.

Jack and Sally seemed pleased too!

Thus, the Halloween-themed rolling cart is born! The joy of creating something unique and festive for our favorite holiday is truly inspiring.

Our favorite holiday is Halloween because of how festive and creative things look. I decided to make a rolling cart to emphasize the Halloween spirit we love.

The Halloween rolling cart not only adds a fun and festive touch to our daily routine but also makes it easier for Anthony to find and use his medications.

The best thing about this cart is its adaptability. You can make it for any holiday season, not just Halloween.

There are fun ideas that I can’t wait to try this December, and I’m sure you’ll find your creative ways to adapt them to your favorite holidays.

Below you’ll find a list of things you will need to make this the best Halloween-themed rolling cart you and your kids have ever seen!

Get a basket of your preferred color. Anthony’s favorite color is neon green; the main medications go here.

For example, we replace the glycol powder on the per side, the vitamins, and the hydroxyzine, and the Trikafta is in the green basket, so they’re visible immediately.

Step 7:

Place the main medications on the top rack of the cart along with a fun activities box for your child to select. You can also give the stickers out as prizes for when they take the medication correctly and on time!

Or, you can use them for fun activity time with your child.

Step 8:

The middle rack in the cart holds breathing medication, such as nebulizer treatments and tube supplies.

A few bottles of hand sanitizer and a box containing alcohol wipes to disinfect masks and medical equipment are also added.

You can also store one of the disposable Halloween cups down here to dispose of the breathing treatment solution containers! The hand sanitizer is not pictured.

Add medicine cups and stack 3 to 4 Halloween cups so your child has available cups for water to take with the medication.

You can also add a Halloween-themed cup like Anthony has one, which matches mine and is also neon green!

We’re creepin’ it real this Halloween!

Step 11:

Decorate the cart with various Halloween items. Gramp, the vamp, is the most famous vampire of all time and Anthony’s favorite Halloween decoration!

He likes to set it right on top of the coffin-shaped box, which helps him remember that he has his hydrocortisone and Kenalog cream in there.

Gramp, the vamp, keeps them safe and sound! I vant (want) to suck your blood! Hahaha!

Add a cool Do not enter sign with a spooky skeleton hand for extra spookiness!

Lastly, we found this beautiful bouquet of fall leaves online and put it on the top rack to make it appear like a tree looming over Anthony’s Medicine Town.

Tada, Enjoy and Happy Spooky Season!

This amazing Halloween-themed rolling cart idea makes the cystic fibrosis life more organized.

I can guarantee your child will be eager to do their routine when they see this colorful car full of wonderful items that only belong to them!

Anthony enjoys his cart and appreciates all I do to make the CF life more colorful and organized.

Cystic fibrosis life is hard, but there are ways to look at the brighter side of things. Decorations are a great way to enthuse your child and make them feel more confident about their condition.

A rolling cart is beneficial in the midst of all of the turmoil that people and children with fibrosis have to live through.

I pray for each and every one of the cystic fibrosis warriors, parents, and caregivers who are always there for their children, whether you’re in the hospital or you’re at home.

Christmas Rolling Cart up Next!

This Christmas, Anthony wants to decorate it with Jesus and Christmas decor! How beautiful is that?! Very!

We thank the Lord for Anthony’s health because none of this would have been possible without God and Anthony’s Nemours team.

May all of you have a blessed and safe Halloween. If you want more fun ideas, check out these articles below!
